Hiring Machine Janitor—more commonly referred to within the food industry as a Sanitation Specialist or Sanitation Worker. Responsible for the deep cleaning, disassembly, sanitization, and reassembly of industrial baking machinery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Machine Breakdown & Assembly: Disassemble commercial mixers, ovens, conveyors, and dividers to clean hidden food components, and correctly reassemble them prior to the next production run.
- Industrial Machine Cleaning: Operate heavy-duty sanitation equipment including industrial power washers, rack washers, steamers, and chemical foaming units to sanitize machinery.
- Chemical Management: Safely mix, handle, and apply industrial-grade cleaning chemicals and sanitizers while wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
Job Requirements & Physical Demands:
- Prior experience in industrial food manufacturing sanitation or commercial janitorial machine operation preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to heat (ovens) and flour dust.
- May require shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
